Like an impressionist painting

Today's outfit is, like most of my looks, very colorful, and is featuring a floral short dress that made me think about an impressionist painting as soon as I saw it. I thought this lovely dress that is elegant, modern and eye catching, would be the perfect match for my new jewelry pieces, a wonderful statement necklace and bracelet from Mercantia, an italian brand producing beautiful and high quality jewelry. Flowers on the dress and on my necklace, a mixture of colors that is really appropriate to brighten a dull Fall day !.

L'outfit di oggi è, come la maggior parte dei miei look, molto colorato, basato su un abitino corto a fiori che mi ha fatta pensare ad un quadro impressionista non appena l'ho visto. Ho pensato che questo adorabile vestito, elegante, moderno e molto particolare, fosse un abbinamento perfetto per le mie due new entries in fatto di gioielli, una meravigliosa accoppiata collana e bracciale di Mercantia, un brand di accessori italiano che produce gioielli molto belli e di alta qualità. Fiori sull'abito e sulla mia collana, in un mix di colori adatto a per rischiarare una grigia giornata autunnale !.

Florals for Fall

Florals for Spring might not be groundbreaking (just to remember what Miranda says in The Devil wears Prada, one of my favorite movies ever), but they can be an interesting choice for Fall, especially with a darker background and a romantic mood !.

I fell in love with this flower print with lace detailing dress as soon as I walked into Zara, and I know that thanks to the florals for Fall trend, blooms will keep on flourishing even in colder months !.

Le stampe a fiori per la Primavera non sono di certo avanguardia pura (per parafrasare Miranda ne Il Diavolo veste Prada, uno dei miei film preferiti), ma possono rivelarsi interessanti per l'Autunno, specialmente con uno sfondo scuro e un'allure romantica ! Mi sono innamorata di questo abitino a fiori con dettagli in pizzo non appena l'ho visto da Zara e so già che, proprio grazie al trend delle stampe floreali in Autunno, i boccioli fioriranno anche nei mesi più freddi !.

How are you all ? I am having a hard time coping with the heat, and air conditioned helps but it makes me feel very tired...I wish I was free from work, but I have to resist until the half of next month to have some spare time !. I think back at my week of vacation earlier this month...it seems so far at the moment, yet it didn't happen much long ago !. I have kept a few snaps from that week to show you...including these ones, with a midi bodycon dress I bought from Asos and that I've been wearing in the office as well, adding a blazer !.

Come state ? Io sto avendo serie difficoltà a reggere il caldo, e l'aria condizionata aiuta ma mi rende molto stanca...vorrei essere in vacanza, ma devo ancora resistere fino a metà del prossimo mese per godermi un po' di tempo libero ! Ripenso alla mia settimana di vacanza già trascorsa all'inizio di questo mese...sembra ormai così lontana, sebbene non sia trascorso così tanto tempo !. Ho ancora alcune foto di quei giorni da mostrarvi...incluse queste, con un abito aderente e longuette preso da Asos e che ho qualche giorno fa indossato anche in ufficio, con l'aggiunta di un blazer !.

Flowers on my mini dress

Lately I've been sporting casual outfits and wearing jeans more than ever, but I am always happy when I can wear a cute dress, especially if it's flower printed like this one !.

I've focused on the blue details of the flower print and built the outfit around them, with my Balenciaga bag and suede pumps. Since the air was still kinda fresh, I added cotton tights with a matching color.

Ultimamente mi avete vista spesso con outfit sportivi e in jeans, ma sono sempre felice quando riesco ad indossare un abito carino, specialmente a stampa floreale come questo !.

Mi sono concentrata sui dettagli blu della stampa e ho costruito l'outfit intorno ad essi, con la mia Balenciaga e pumps scamosciate. Dato che l'aria era ancora bella fresca, ho indossato calze in leggero cotone dello stesso colore.

Vintage style: flower dress and cat eye sunglasses !

As most of you know already, I like to change style and play with fashion. This time I got to wear a dress that caught my attention as soon as I saw it, because I fell in love with the floral print, the fall colors and its vintage style. I think I found a great chance to wear my new Dolce and Gabbana Sunglasses, courtesy of SunglassesShop...the cat eye shape and brown color add another vintage touch to the whole outfit, don't you think so ?.

Come molti di voi già sapranno, mi piace cambiare spesso stile e giocare con la moda. Questa volta ho indossato un abito che mi ha colpita non appena visto perché mi sono innamorata della sua stampa floreale, dei colori autunnali e del suo stile vintage.
Ho approfittato per indossare i miei nuovi occhiali da sole di Dolce & Gabbana inviatimi da SunglassesShop...la forma "da gatta" e il colore tartarugato con lenti marroni hanno aggiunto un ulteriore tocco vintage all'outfit, non pensate ?.

I love wearing sunglasses, I wear them with almost all my outfits because that's the way I am - I think sunglasses are part of the outfit, plus I hate it when I have to look towards the sun without my shades on, I have a hard time when it happens !.
Plus let's say it, a nice pair of sunglasses make us look and feel more glamorous ! ;).
I got these sunglasses a few days ago and I am sure I am gonna use them a lot, cause their shape is classical yet very trendy, and I think they complement my oval pretty well.

I decided to wear my Rochas shoes you had already seen, with my Juicy Couture bag, same color as the soft leather sash I tied to my waistline.
I went for burgundy tights and turtleneck to put the color of the dress in evidence and a flower necklace from Tarina Tarantino. The large cardigan you see in the pics is from Romwe, I love it !. The bright red lipstick I am wearing in the pics is from Nouba, a brand that is quite hard for me to find in the shops...I am sure I am gonna be sad when it finishes ! Am I the only one going all sad when something she's using is almost over, thinking that there's no way to get a new identical one ?.

Ho deciso di indossare le mie scarpe Rochas che avevate già visto con la mia borsa di Juicy Couture, dello stesso colore della fusciacca in pelle morbida che ho legato in vita.
Ho optato per calze e collo alto vinaccio per esaltare il colore dell'abito e indossato una collana di Tarina Tarantino.
Il cardigan oversize è di Romwe, lo adoro !. Il rossetto rosso che porto in foto è di Nouba, adoro i colori di questo brand che è molto difficile da reperire per me...infatti credo proprio che sarò triste quando finirà ! Sono l'unica che va in paranoia prima che le cose che ama usare finiscano, al pensiero di non avere subito un ricambio ?.

50s style floral dress

This 50s style floral dress is one of my fave pieces of clothing I have bought for this season. It's feminine, fresh, colorful and has a vintage allure :). I love the built in belt and I thought about matching it with my Ash sandals you had already seen in another post. I am gonna try it also with wedges, what kind of shoes would you wear it with ?.

Questo abito a fiori anni '50 è uno dei miei abiti preferiti comprati questa stagione. E' femminile, fresco, colorato e ha un delizioso tocco vintage :). Mi piace la cintura "incorporata" e ho pensato di abbinarlo ai miei sandali verdi di Ash che vi avevo già mostrato. Lo proverò anche con delle zeppe, voi con quale tipo di scarpe lo indossereste ?.

I keep finding new dresses to wear in my closet, still from my time spent in New York. One of them is this lovely Betsey Johnson dress, a tiny floral printed dress I got together with another one I had already worn in a previous post.
I think it's the perfect lenght for such a tight dress, and the chiffon belt can be tied up on the front or on the back. Betsey Johnson is an american fashion designer well known for her very feminine, extravagant, colored style, and her love for pink. I like her style and I remember spending an awful lot of time into her flagship store !.

Continuo ancora a trovare nuovi abiti da indossare nel mio armadio, risalgono al periodo trascorso a New York. Uno è questo adorabile abito di Betsey Johnson, a fiori, che avevo comprato insieme ad un altro abito a rose blu già indossato in un post precedente.
Credo che la lunghezza per un vestito così aderente sia perfetta e la cintura di chiffon può essere legata sia sul davanti che formare un fiocco sul retro dell'abito. Betsey Johnson è una fashion designer americana nota per i suoi abiti ultra femminili, spesso a colori sgargianti, e il suo amore per il rosa. Mi piace molto il suo stile e ricordo di aver trascorso un sacco di tempo nel suo monomarca !.

Cold weather didn't allow me to say goodbye to tights, at all, so decided to stick to my beloved black tights even wearing new spring pumps from Fabi.
The bracelet from lafilledesfleurs added some floral fun to the whole outfit :-).

Il tempo ancora freddo non mi ha concesso di abbandonare le calze, così ho confermato il mio amore per le calze coprenti anche se le ho abbinate a scarpe nuove, primaverili, di Fabi.
Il bracciale di lafilledesfleurs ha aggiunto un tocco floreale all'intero outfit :-).

The nail polish I am wearing is a pumpkin color from a new brand, MTJ, I have found a shop in Sorrento that sells it and I have bought a few things: 3 nail polish, 2 blushes and one lipstick.
The quality of this brand seems excellent, I wanna show them to you and I think I will do it in one of my next posts !.
In the pics I am sticking to one of my fave orange lipsticks ever from YSL. I have found out that I like wearing orange lipstick even without a tan, I think it adds glow to the whole face. Do you own or use orange lipstick ?.

Lo smalto che porto è un color arancio zucca di una nuova marca, MTJ, ho trovato un negozio a Sorrento che vendeva questi prodotti e ho comprato qualcosina: 3 smalti, 2 blush e un rossetto.
La qualità di questi prodotti sembra eccellente, voglio parlarvene presto, in uno dei miei prossimi post !.
Nelle foto ho sulle labbra uno dei miei rossetti arancioni preferiti di YSL. Ho scoperto che mi piace usare il rossetto arancio anche senza abbronzatura, credo dia luce all'intero incarnato. Voi avete o adoperate rossetti sull'arancio ?.
