Green leaves and camo heels

Have you ever wished to disguise yourself in a beautiful, peaceful garden ? It's basically what I did with this green based outfit, thanks to my floral, green leaves print dress and these camouflage heels. 

Growing up, I started to appreciate the beauty of such places, whereas when I was a young girl I felt much more at ease in a crowded, noisy place. The more time passes by, the more I appreciate a moment of silence, that gives me the chance to collect my thoughts and recharge my inner battery. Of course, this doesn't apply when I enter in a shop: when I see something I want to buy, I become a fighter, I can rush fastly and with a lot of determination towards my object of desire, LOL !.

Avete mai provato a mimetizzarvi in un bellissimo e pacifico giardino ? E' praticamente ciò che ho fatto io con questo outfit nei toni del verde, grazie al mio abito floreale ricco di verdi foglie ed a questi sandali camouflage.

Crescendo, ho iniziato ad apprezzare sempre più la bellezza di simili luoghi raccolti, dopo anni di folle e di posti rumorosi. Più il tempo passa, più riesco ad apprezzare un momento di silenzio, che mi dia la possibilità di raccogliere i pensieri e ricaricare la mia batteria interiore. Ovviamente, quanto ho appena detto non si applica a quando entro in un negozio e individuo qualcosa da comprare, allora divento una combattente che si precipita con determinazione e ferocia verso il proprio oggetto del desiderio, LOL !.

Orange for Fall

There are times when I find myself staring at a window shop because I saw something that I already feel like mine, and before I can even realize it, if the price is affordable, I am the fastest shopper ever, and it was the case when I saw this eye cathing orange and blue dress.

Orange for Fall is a great idea and it doesn't just mean pumpkins, after all !. This dress has a vintage vibe, a bit 70s inspired and I just love this bright shade of orange, even more when it's mixed with blue ! A walk was the perfect chance to sport it together with my new bracelet from Dale Grey Vintage, coming directly from New York !.

Ci sono delle volte in cui mi ritrovo a fissare una vetrina perché ho notato qualcosa che sento già mio, e prima di riuscire a connettere, se il prezzo è ragionevole, ci metto appena qualche minuto per comprarlo; questo è quanto mi è successo con questo abitino dall'aria molto particolare, adocchiato in un negozietto delle mie parti. L'arancione in autunno è un'ottima idea e non vuole soltanto dire zucche, dopotutto !. Questo abito ha un'aria vintage, la stampa è un po' anni 70, e adoro la tonalità accesa di arancio, ancora di più se mixata con il blu ! Una passeggiata è stata l'occasione perfetta per indossarlo insieme al mio nuovo bracciale Dale Grey Vintage, proveniente direttamente da New York !.

My dress code is Boho !

Give me a floral maxi skirt and new wedges and I am immediately in a boho mood !. Anyway, let's go slowly. It all started with a new tee, sent to me by the italian fashion brand Dress Code. I was gladly asked to try out one of their items and I went for this female t-shirt with "Don't you really know Anna ?" writing and print on the front. It's a clear hint to Anna Wintour, famous editor-in-chief of American Vogue and also one of the most important figures of fashion world. I was positively impressed by the quality of the tee shirt, that arrived to me super quickly. I am wearing a size S, I have to say this tee fits me perfectly. I decided to wear it tucked into the skirt because it's a maxi but I'll wear it outside with jeans, the lenght is perfect !.

Datemi una maxi skirt a fiori e nuove zeppe e vado immediatamente in mood boho !. Comunque, non corriamo troppo. E' iniziato tutto con una nuova tee, inviatami dal brand italiano di abbigliamento fashion Dress Code. Mi è stato chiesto di provare un loro articolo e ho scelto questa t-shirt dalla scritta "Don't you really know Anna ?". Una non certo velata allusione ad Anna Wintour, famosa capo editor dell'edizione americana di Vogue e una delle più importanti personalità nel mondo della moda. La mia impressione è stata molto positiva, sia per quanto riguarda la qualità della tee che per la professionalità circa l'invio veloce e sicuro. In queste foto indosso una taglia S, devo dire che ha una vestibilità ottima. Ho deciso di indossarla mettendola dentro la gonna per evidenziare il punto vita con la maxi skirt ma la porterò fuori con i jeans, è di una lunghezza perfetta !.

Underneath my coat...

I had told you that the previous post was to be continued, because I still had to show you what I was wearing underneath my Balenciaga coat ! Well, some of you guessed the color of my outfit right, maybe also because lately I have an obsession with the trendiest color of the season: burgundy color ! I was wearing an oxblood dress from H&M, indeed ;).

Vi avevo preannunciato nel post precedente che sarebbe continuato perché non vi avevo ancora mostrato cosa indossavo sotto al mio cappotto di Balenciaga ! Beh, alcune di voi hanno indovinato il colore dell'abito, probabilmente facilitate dalla mia ormai nota ossessione per il colore più trendy della stagione: il bordeaux, o burgundy, oxblood, vinaccio, chiamatelo come preferite ! Indossavo un abito bordeaux H&M, infatti ;).

The oxblood dress from H&M is sleeveless, so I matched an oxblood top to make it warmer and also added a studded Zara necklace and a soft leather belt to spice it up !. I personally love the black and burgundy combo and I can easily see myself wearing this outfit also both for the office and for a drink at the club, it depends on the accessories I use ;).

L'abitino di H&M è smanicato, io ho aggiunto un top di Subdued dal colore molto simile sotto per renderlo più caldo e ho aggiunto una cintura legata in vita e una collana borchiata di Zara per movimentare il look !. Personalmente amo questa combinazione di burgundy e nero e posso facilmente sfruttare un look del genere in ufficio così come per una serata in un locale, a seconda degli accessori usati.

In the pic above you can see details of my beloved bag and most of all of my fave nail polish of the moment: Merino Cool from Essie. This is a perfect color for winter, I think !. The cuff is not a Hermès cuff but it's nice anyway, it's from Juicy Couture ;).
My BVLGARI BZero ring is always with me, I love it and I can't separate from it, even tho I'd have other rings to wear and it prevents me from wearing other bulky rings on my right hand ;)
I am very anxious to prepare my Christmas tree, here in Italy we usually decorate it on 8th december...in a few days my flat is gonna be full with lights and holiday decoration, can't wait ! Have you already set up all your Xmas decoration ?.

Nella foto sopra potete vedere in dettaglio la mia adorata borsa e soprattutto lo smalto che preferisco al momento: Merino Cool di Essie. E' un colore perfetto per la stagione invernale e lo adoro !. Il bracciale non è il famoso cuff di Hermès ma è molto carino ugualmente, è di Juicy Couture ;).
Il mio anello BVLGARI BZero è sempre con me, lo adoro ed è difficile per me separarmene, sebbene sia un peccato perché avrei altri anelli da indossare e mi impedisce di portarne altri vistosi alla mano destra ;).
Sono ansiosa di preparare l'albero di Natale che, solitamente in Italia si addobba l'8 dicembre...tra pochi giorni casa mia diventerà un tripudio di luci e decorazioni varie...voi avete già preparato tutto ?.

Vintage style: flower dress and cat eye sunglasses !

As most of you know already, I like to change style and play with fashion. This time I got to wear a dress that caught my attention as soon as I saw it, because I fell in love with the floral print, the fall colors and its vintage style. I think I found a great chance to wear my new Dolce and Gabbana Sunglasses, courtesy of SunglassesShop...the cat eye shape and brown color add another vintage touch to the whole outfit, don't you think so ?.

Come molti di voi già sapranno, mi piace cambiare spesso stile e giocare con la moda. Questa volta ho indossato un abito che mi ha colpita non appena visto perché mi sono innamorata della sua stampa floreale, dei colori autunnali e del suo stile vintage.

I love wearing sunglasses, I wear them with almost all my outfits because that's the way I am - I think sunglasses are part of the outfit, plus I hate it when I have to look towards the sun without my shades on, I have a hard time when it happens !.
Plus let's say it, a nice pair of sunglasses make us look and feel more glamorous ! ;).
I got these sunglasses a few days ago and I am sure I am gonna use them a lot, cause their shape is classical yet very trendy, and I think they complement my oval pretty well.

I decided to wear my Rochas shoes you had already seen, with my Juicy Couture bag, same color as the soft leather sash I tied to my waistline.
I went for burgundy tights and turtleneck to put the color of the dress in evidence and a flower necklace from Tarina Tarantino. The large cardigan you see in the pics is from Romwe, I love it !. The bright red lipstick I am wearing in the pics is from Nouba, a brand that is quite hard for me to find in the shops...I am sure I am gonna be sad when it finishes ! Am I the only one going all sad when something she's using is almost over, thinking that there's no way to get a new identical one ?.

Ho deciso di indossare le mie scarpe Rochas che avevate già visto con la mia borsa di Juicy Couture, dello stesso colore della fusciacca in pelle morbida che ho legato in vita.
Ho optato per calze e collo alto vinaccio per esaltare il colore dell'abito e indossato una collana di Tarina Tarantino.
Il cardigan oversize è di Romwe, lo adoro !. Il rossetto rosso che porto in foto è di Nouba, adoro i colori di questo brand che è molto difficile da reperire per me...infatti credo proprio che sarò triste quando finirà ! Sono l'unica che va in paranoia prima che le cose che ama usare finiscano, al pensiero di non avere subito un ricambio ?.

Camp Beverly Hills

Today has been my last day of work before my one week and a half break. Let's celebrate it with a casual outfit that makes me dream about sunny California !.
In these pics I am wearing a canary yellow t-shirt from Camp Beverly Hills, the first classic American sportswear brand born in 1977 in Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills.
Their original logo has been re-launched for 2012 and it's well known in the USA,
Camp Beverly Hills tees were collected and worn by a young Drew Barrymore, Barbara Streisand at the height of her fame, Jane Fonda at her legendary fitness studio and scores of other stars. I am very demanding with quality when it comes to sportswear clothes and I have fallen in love with this brand also for the quality !.

Oggi è stato il mio ultimo giorno di ufficio prima di una pausa di una settimana e mezzo. Per l'occasione, ecco un outfit casual che mi fa sognare la soleggiata California !.
In queste foto indosso una t-shirt giallo canarino di Camp Beverly Hills, la prima marca di abbigliamento sportivo americano, nata nel 1977 a Rodeo Drive a Beverly Hills.
Il logo originale è stato riproposto per il 2012 ed è molto conosciuto negli USA. Infatti, le t-shirts di Camp Beverly Hills sono state indossate da star americane come Drew Barrymoore, Barbara Streisand all'apice della carriera, Jane Fonda nel suo leggendario studio di fitness e tante altre stars. Sono molto esigente quando si parla di abbigliamento casual e mi sono innamorata di questo brand anche per la qualità !.

I am wearing jeans from Latinò, yellow pumps and my Juicy Couture backpack bag bought in NY. I am also sporting a Zara beetles necklace which is weird to me because I am really insects phobic and I have to confess even tho I love it, it felt a bit weird to wear that around my neck, LOL !.

Ho al collo una collana di Zara con ciondoli a forma di scarafaggio il che è strano per una insettofobica come me...devo confessare che sebbene mi piaccia, mi ha fatto uno strano effetto metterla intorno al collo, LOL !.

Now I am off to keep working on the flat, as many of you know we're in the middle of a big remodeling...I am blogging from another room right now and it's very nice, we even put a big New York canvas on the wall, I am gonna show you some pics soon when it's all done ! I have a massive DVD collection and now the couch seems more inviting than ever...even tho I enjoy going out so much that I don't know when I am finally gonna rest ;-).

Sopra potete vedere un set che ho creato per questo outfit. Ora vado a continuare i miei lavori in casa, come molti di voi sanno siamo alle prese con una grande ristrutturazione...ora sto "bloggando" da una stanza diversa e sta venendo molto bene, abbiamo anche un enorme canvas rappresentante New York sul muro, vi farò vedere presto qualche foto non appena tutto pronto ! Ho una grande collezione di DVD e ora il divano sembra ancora più invitante...anche se mi piace così tanto uscire che non so quando riuscirò ad approfittarne ;-).

Maxi tee or mini dress ?

I think most of you have been doubtful, at least once in your life, whether an item of clothing in your closet would be considered as a maxi tee or mini dress !? Yes, I am talking about that precise item of clothing that you can wear and style in both ways 'cause it's long enough to be a dress and short enough to be a t-shirt !.
I like such kind of clothes cause they have "a double life", I can change look by simply wearing them with leggings or skinny jeans underneath or by wearing them with bare legs and heels. Do you own something like this and what do you prefer ?.

Credo che la maggior parte di voi, almeno una volta nella vita, si sia trovata di fronte a questo importante dubbio: si tratta di una maxi t-shirt o di un mini vestito ? Sì, sto parlando di un preciso capo di abbigliamento che si può indossare in entrambi i modi, in quanto lungo abbastanza da essere un abito, corto abbastanza da poter ancora essere una maglia !.
Personalmente amo questo tipo di indumenti perché hanno una doppia vita, posso cambiarli semplicemente indossandoli con leggings o skinny pants oppure con le gambe nude e tacchi alti. Avete anche voi qualcosa del genere e come preferite indossarlo ?.

This time I have decided to consider this lovely striped dress from Oasap as a maxi t-shirt, wearing it with black skinny pants from Tally Weijl.
The dress is a One Size, quite large for me so I put my waistline in evidence by using a sash belt, I often do this with large dresses/maxi t-shirts.
My Jeffrey Campbell Darian wedges (bought in New York and always great) and Balenciaga Work completed the look, together with a studded necklace from Pull and Bear.

Questa volta ho deciso di considerare questo delizioso abito a righe di Oasap come una maxi maglia, indossandolo insieme a pantaloni skinny neri di Tally Weijl.
L'abito a righe è una taglia unica, abbastanza larga per me, per cui ho evidenziato il punto vita con una fusciacca in pelle, lo faccio spesso con abiti larghi o maxi tees.
Le mie zeppe di Jeffrey Campbell modello Darian (prese a New York e sempre attuali) e la Balenciaga Work hanno completato il look, insieme ad una collana con borchie di Pull and Bear.

Here's my set for this outfit ;)

I was lucky enough to have a tank top the same green color in my closet - thank you Zara !. I have a special thing with open shoulder t-shirts, love them...and I will love them more once I will finally be a bit tanned ! I am dreaming about holidays but I have to wait for them, still !.

Sono stata così fortunata dal trovare una canotta dello stesso verde della maglia nel mio armadio - grazie Zara !. Ho un'attrazione particolare per le maglie asimmetriche o dalle spalle scoperte, le amo...e mi piaceranno anche di più con un po' di abbronzatura ! Sto sognando le vacanze ma per quelle c'è ancora tempo !.

In the mood for Christmas

Nothing puts me in the Christmas mood more than decorating the Xmas tree, it's something I am happy to do every year and I think the tree reflects my personality a lot...the colors are matching, it's mostly red and golden tones, but there's barely something identical on it, there's a bit of everything and I keep adding stuff cause I can't resist buying something new every year.
On every branch of my tree there's something special and often something that has a meaning, a memory attached to it, cause I am like this, it's hard for me to let go (I hardly throw away things, I get emotionally attached even to objects !) but there's also this constant wish to create new memorable moments and to get passionate about something new !.
In this period things are being hectic at work and I haven't still completed my Christmas shopping at all, what about you ? I just wish a day would last 48 hours instead of 24, to be able to do everything !.
I am looking forward to relaxing and to spending some time at home with family, here's a quick list of what I can't wait to do:

1) Watch classic Christmas movies, especially the Disney (Mickey Mouse) version and the Muppet version of "A Christmas Carol" from Charles Dickens, together with the trilogy of movies about the "Princess Sissi" of Austria is something I really like very much !
2) Listen to Christmas music (i.e. Sinatra) as well as Mariah Carey's Christmas songs
3) Bake some cookies and some kanelbullars (or cinnamon buns), I love the smell of cinnamon around the house !
4) Dress myself comfy with a new PJs, with red/green colors
5) Of course, playing with my presents, hehehe !
6) Eating anything and postponing detox to new year ;))
7) Playing some Wii games, I wish I had more spare time to play with my beloved Mario games, I am a Nitendo fan ! With hubby we love to play together with DJ Hero, mixing our fave songs !
8) Reading some relaxing book (I have the new Stephen King book waiting for me, hehe ! Pure entertainment !)
9) Catching up with friends
10) Ok, this is not a tradition but it's gonna become one: reading your blogs, of course !!!

Niente mi mette più di umore natalizio che decorare l'albero di Natale, sono felice di farlo ogni anno e credo anche che il mio albero rifletta molto la mia personalità...i colori sono abbinati, è quasi tutto nei toni del rosso e del dorato, ma è difficile trovare due oggetti identici tra loro, c'è un po' di tutto e continuo ad aggiungere oggetti perché non resisto a non comprare qualcosa di nuovo ogni anno.
Appeso ad ogni ramo del mio albero posso trovare qualcosa di speciale, che abbia per me un significato o sia legato ad un ricordo, ed io sono così: è difficile per me lasciare andare il passato (raramente riesco a gettare via le cose, sono emotivamente legata persino agli oggetti !) ma c'è anche questa costante voglia di vivere nuovi momenti da ricordare e di appassionarmi a qualcosa di nuovo !.
In questo periodo al lavoro è stressante e in più non ho ancora completato il mio shopping natalizio, e voi ? Vorrei che una giornata durasse 48 ore anziché 24 per fare tutto !.
Non vedo l'ora di rilassarmi e di trascorrere del tempo con la mia famiglia e, in particolare, di fare le seguenti cose:

1) Guardare i classici film di Natale, specialmente le versioni Disney (Mickey Mouse) e Muppets del racconto "Canto di Natale" di Charles Dickens, che insieme alla trilogia dei film su "La Principessa Sissi" mi piacciono davvero troppo !
2) Ascoltare musica natalizia, sia quella più "classica" (esempio, Sinatra) che le canzoni natalizie di Mariah Carey
3) Cuocere dei biscotti o Kanelbullars (o rotoli alla cannella), adoro l'odore di cannella per casa !
4) Vestirmi in modo comodo, con un bel pigiama nuovo dai colori natalizi, rosso e verde
5) Ovviamente, giocare con i regali ricevuti, hehe ;)
6) Mangiare di tutto e rimandare il detox ad anno nuovo !
7) Giocare un po' con la Wii...vorrei avere più tempo per riprendere i miei adorati giochi di Mario, sono una super fan Nintendo da sempre ! Con mio marito poi adoriamo sfidarci a DJ Hero, mixando le nostre canzoni preferite !
8) Leggere un bel libro per distrarsi un po' (il nuovo di Stephen King mi sta aspettando, hehehe...intrattenimento allo stato puro !)
9) Risentire gli amici
10) Ok, questa non sarà una tradizione natalizia ma lo diventerà: leggere i vostri blog, ovviamente !!!
