Pinstripe and Squirrel

When I think about pinstripe pants, often I end up thinking about office suits, to formal, somehow boring trousers. Well, in this outfit I want to show you another use for grey pinstripe pants...I paired them to a holiday sweater with a squirrel on the front and to a statement bag and coatigan, in an eclectic ensemble that won't surely make you think about an office meeting but is kinda festive. After all, Christmas is almost here...and I wish you from now to spend it in peace and harmony, surrounded by your loved ones !.

Quando penso al pantalone gessato, spesso mi ritrovo a immaginare completi adatti prettamente all'ufficio, a pantaloni formali e, in un certo modo, anonimi. Con questo outfit voglio mostrarvi un modo alternativo di indossare pants gessati...li ho abbinati ad un maglione perfetto per le feste natalizie, con uno scoiattolo sul davanti, e ad una borsa e un coatigan molto particolari, un insieme eclettico che non vi farà di certo pensare ad un incontro di lavoro, ma è abbastanza festivo. Dopotutto, Natale è sempre più vicino...e vi auguro fin ad ora di trascorrerlo in serenità e armonia, insieme ai vostri cari !.

I bought this knit coatigan in a small shop, I was immediately attracted by the funky print that reminded me of those 70s prints and also some previous Prada collections.

I was wearing a leather and gold chain bib necklace bought at Zara, and Asos studded sunglasses.

Ho comprato questo coatigan in maglia in un negozietto, sono stata immediatamente attratta dalla stampa originale che mi ha ricordato gli anni '70 ed alcune vecchie collezioni Prada.

Ho abbinato una collana a bavaglino in pelle e catene dorate presa da Zara, e occhiali da sole borchiati Asos.

My favorite piece in this look is my new bag, it's a Mohekann clutch I found browsing on Zalando. Mohekann is a french brand and they produce a few extra large clutches in a very soft leather. This one is called "Navajo" and has a grey base with a patchwork of different kinds of leather. It also has a detachable shoulder chain strap. I love this bag and it's very versatile, with its ethnic vibe can be part of both casual and elegant looks, plus it's very roomy...it fits my iPad mini perfectly as well as most of my belongings !. I think these bags have a lot of potential, this is just my opinion and since I found out about this range almost by chance, I thought you would want to check them out too. I can totally see myself wearing mine at the club (this is a hint to my hubby, I wanna go dancing so badly !).

Il mio pezzo preferito dell'outfit è la mia nuova borsa Mohekann, trovata navigando su Zalando. Mohekann è un brand francese che produce molte borse, tra cui queste clutch extra large in pelle molto morbida. La mia si chiama "Navajo" ed è grigia con un patchwork di diversi tipi di pelle. Ha anche una catena staccabile per poterla portare a spalla. Amo questa borsa, è molto versatile, con il suo mood etnico può essere parte di un outfit casual ma anche di uno più elegante, in più è molto spaziosa...il mio iPad mini ci entra perfettamente, così come la maggior parte dei miei oggetti !. Credo che queste borse abbiano un sacco di potenziale, è solo la mia opinione ma dato che le ho scoperte quasi per caso, ho pensato potessero interessare anche a voi. Mi ci vedo proprio ad indossare la mia anche in disco (questa è una stoccata a mio marito, ho tanta voglia di andare a ballare !).

I decided to wear metallic dark red pumps with this look. These ones are from Gaia d'Este and are really comfortable. I like the v shape of these pointed heels. I love to wear masculine cut pants with very feminine shoes, and you ?. I know, without tights my pumps would look even better, but it's winter and I feel better without a cold, so my answer has to be NO :-)

Ho deciso di calzare pumps rosso scuro metallizzate con questo look. Queste sono Gaia d'Este e sono davvero comode. Mi piace la forma a v di queste scarpe a punta. Adoro portare pantaloni dal taglio maschile con scarpe molto femminili, e voi ?. Lo so, senza calze le scarpe sarebbero ancora meglio, ma siamo in inverno e io sto meglio senza raffreddore, per cui per me è NO :-).

 

I was looking for one of those Christmas sweaters, but also wanted it to have real wool inside. I always prefer to wear a mixture of wool and not just polyester. When I saw this one at Playlife store I thought it was cute and not too tacky, so I went for it. I love squirrels ! This one is wearing a scarf, LOL.

Cercavo uno di quei maglioni tipicamente natalizi, ma volevo anche una maglia che fosse composta da lana, almeno da un misto lana e non da solo poliestere. Quando ho visto questa maglia da Playlife ho pensato che fosse carina e non troppo kitch, e l'ho presa. Amo gli scoiattoli ! Il mio indossa una sciarpa, LOL.
